Live Webcast
To participate over the live webcast, open the Quicktime player. In the file menu, go to File-Open URL. Type in the following URL: rtsp://qtss.education.ucsb.edu/vcc.sdp The URL will be active only when the videoconference is in session, i.e. 9-11 a.m. Pacifc Standard Time on January 24, 25, and 26. Requirements for watching the webcast include:
A. MPEG-4 streaming player
The following applications have been tested for compatibility:
- Quicktime 6 or later (Mac or PC) - http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
- VLC ver 0.8.1 or later (Mac or PC) - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
B. You must NOT be behind a Network Address Translated (NAT) network
Depending on your computer/network set-up, you may need to disable your firewall to be able to view the webcast.
