The Koegel Autism Center at the University of California, Santa Barbara seeks to hire a half-time (50%) salaried PhD-level interventionist/supervisor, which could be expanded to full time (100%) pending receipt of new grant awards. Salary range is $50,600-59,400 (full time equivalent). Area of Specialization: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental conditions across the lifespan
This position provides a unique opportunity to be part of a team providing services and engaging in collaborative research and publishing on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental conditions across the lifespan. The selected candidate will provide behavioral assessment, implement integrated social programs for adolescents and young adults, provide intervention in Pivotal Response Treatment to children, and implement self-management and video-modeling programs.
At least three years’ experience with the implementation of Pivotal Response Treatment is recommended. The candidate must also have experience with data collection, data entry and data analysis. Applicants may be from special education, psychology, any life science or health science discipline, including counseling, speech language pathology, human development, education, or equivalent level of training and/or experience. Applicants must work well in teams and grant-writing is encouraged.
Primary consideration date is 5/15/13; thereafter, open until filled.
