Welcome to the Credential Services Office

 

The Credentials Services Office in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education is the best place to start your career as a teacher. As the central administrative unit and office of record for all students working on their credentials, the staff of this office can assist you in preparing for your credential program. The Credentials Services Office supports the mission of the School to educate scholar practitioners and maintain exemplary programs that serve as models for teaching, research, and service. Advising:

Applicants to the Teaching Credential Program are recommended to attend an Information Meeting, which provides information regarding prerequisites, requirements for admission, instructions for completing the application process, and the structure of the Credential Programs. Applicants should attend an information meeting as soon as possible since it may take one year to complete the state and university prerequisites required for admission to the program. Applicants who cannot attend on the the Credential Information Meetings should contact the Credential Services Office at (805) 893-2036 for advisement regarding program prerequisites and the application process. Applicants to the School Psychology Credential Program should attend a Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology Information Meeting.
