Dean Jane Close Conoley of the Gevirtz School at UC Santa Barbara appeared on the program “Intents & Purposes” on KCSB 91.9 FM on February 2. Dr. Conoley discussed the creation of the new Harding University Partnership School and the school’s adoption of the International Baccalaureate model. The show can be listened to on podcast.
The mission of the Partnership School is to create an educational environment that is characterized by excellence, joy, a strong international focus, and limitless possibilities for all stakeholders. The Partnership School will: educate children; develop new and innovative practices; research and inquire into new and existing practice; support teacher candidates; facilitate professional development and advanced degrees for practicing educators; and create transformative and liberating experiences for people, schooling, and the community.
“Intents & Purposes,” which airs Tuesdays 8-9 am, is hosted by two Gevirtz School graduate students, Levi C. Maaia and Timothy A. Grigsby.
